Hi, I’m Julie Sikorak

I proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps and went on to receive advanced canine training at The Tom Rose School, completing both the Professional Trainer Course (2023) and Master Trainer Course (2024).

That same year, I became an Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) handler, deepening my hands-on experience working in high-stakes, scent-driven environments. I am deeply fascinated by a dog’s ability to detect scent, the subtle behavioral changes that occur as they enter a scent cone, and the remarkable way the canine mind processes learning and commands.

In 2025, I officially established my business, where I now work with pet dogs and train service dogs for Veterans. Today, I’m fortunate to do what I love! Helping dogs and handlers build strong, reliable partnerships rooted in trust, structure, and clear communication.

I’m especially drawn to working with strong-willed dogs, as they often require deeper understanding, patience, and thoughtful guidance to overcome behavioral challenges, fears, or past experiences.

I find the greatest fulfillment in teaching dogs new skills and watching the moment they truly understand what’s being asked of them. Equally important to me is educating handlers—helping them understand canine psychology, why patience matters, and how slowing down and breaking training into baby steps leads to lasting success.

My Approach

My training approach is built on balance, clear communication, and understanding each dog as an individual. I use a variety of training methods to help dogs learn how to make good choices in a fair, calm, and supportive way.

I believe the relationship always comes first. When a dog feels safe, understood, and guided with clarity, unwanted behaviors become much easier to work through. By focusing on trust and gentle guidance through the leash, I help dogs learn with confidence—creating calmer homes and stronger bonds between dogs and their families.
